START WITH THE BUSINESS
Decide whether the site needs a refresh or a rebuild
If your business has changed but the website has not, a redesign can give customers a clearer picture. Seller’s Bay helps Irish businesses improve outdated websites, organise services and create more useful enquiry journeys. Tell us what is holding the current site back.
An old-looking website is not automatically a bad website, and a new design is not automatically a better one. We look at the content, usability, editing setup and commercial purpose before recommending the level of change. Sometimes the most useful work is focused rather than a complete replacement.
A broader rebuild may be appropriate when the site no longer represents your offer, is difficult to maintain or cannot support the required features. We explain the reasons and agree the priorities, so the redesign solves identifiable problems instead of simply replacing one set of pages with another.
CHOOSE THE SUPPORT YOU NEED
What a considered redesign can address
The proposal confirms the work, deliverables and responsibilities for your project.
01
Website and content review
We examine the existing pages and identify what is useful, out of date or missing. Your knowledge of common customer questions and suitable enquiries helps guide the review. Important content and established entry points are considered before the replacement structure is agreed.
02
Clearer navigation and service structure
A growing business often ends up with overlapping pages and labels that make sense internally but confuse visitors. We organise the offer around customer needs, with distinct service pages and useful connections between them. The aim is to make the next step easier to understand.
03
Content that reflects the business today
We help replace vague or outdated copy with accurate explanations of what you do and who you help. Existing project examples and customer evidence can strengthen the presentation where permission and facts are available. Content writing and the number of pages are defined in the scope.
04
Modern, editable page design
We develop the agreed visual direction around your branding and content. Readability, mobile navigation and clear enquiry routes are considered alongside the appearance. If the rebuild uses WordPress and Divi, the handover can cover routine editing of the agreed content areas.
05
Page-address and migration planning
We identify important URLs and decide which should remain or change. Where addresses change, an appropriate redirect plan helps manage the transition. Forms, analytics and connected services also need attention, with the responsibilities and testing requirements agreed before the launch.
06
Launch checks and ongoing support
The launch is planned around the actual website and the work involved. We check the scoped pages, links and enquiry routes, then confirm the handover and support arrangement. Hosting changes, email dependencies and third-party integrations are discussed explicitly where they affect the project.
THE DETAILS THAT MATTER
Protect useful work while changing the site
Use evidence to choose the priorities
The busiest page is not always the most valuable, and a low-traffic page may answer an important customer question. We consider available website data alongside your business feedback when reviewing what to keep and improve.
That approach can also reveal where the problem sits outside the design. An unclear offer, incomplete service information or a slow response to enquiries may need attention alongside the page layouts. A useful proposal connects the website changes with the problem you are trying to solve.
Manage the transition as part of the project
A redesign affects more than the visible pages. The old URL structure, tracking, forms, hosting and connected systems may all matter. We make those dependencies part of planning so they can be checked at the appropriate point.
We do not promise that rankings or traffic will remain unchanged. The goal is to make informed decisions, avoid unnecessary disruption and leave a clear record of the agreed changes. Further SEO or ongoing improvement can then build on the new site.
A CLEAR WAY FORWARD
A redesign with a reason behind each stage
01
Review the current site
Understand the business changes, customer journeys and useful existing content. Agree what needs improving and why.
02
Develop the replacement
Plan the structure, content and design. Review the work at agreed stages while preparing the transition requirements.
03
Launch with checks
Complete the agreed page, form and redirect checks, publish after approval and hand over the editing and support tasks.
A PARTNER YOU CAN GET TO KNOW

Compare the change against its original purpose
We agree what a better website should achieve before the rebuild. That might mean clearer enquiries, easier editing, more useful service pages or a simpler purchase journey. Where tracking is in scope, relevant actions can be reviewed before and after launch, with care around seasonality, campaign changes and differences in measurement.
BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE
Your questions, answered
Do I need a complete rebuild?
Not necessarily. We can review the current site and discuss whether focused improvements would address the problem. A complete rebuild is recommended when the structure, platform or overall presentation needs a wider change. We explain the reasoning rather than assuming the largest project is best.
Can you keep our branding?
Yes. We can work with the logo, colours and brand materials you already use. If the visual identity also needs attention, we discuss that separately so the requirements are clear. The website design should reflect the business you want customers to recognise.
Will a redesign affect our Google rankings?
It can. Changes to content, URLs, structure and technical behaviour may affect search performance. We review important pages and plan relevant redirects, but unchanged rankings or traffic cannot be guaranteed. A considered transition manages the known risks rather than ignoring them.
Can the existing website stay live during the build?
That is often possible, depending on the setup. We agree the working environment and launch approach before development. Hosting, forms, email and connected services need to be understood so a test environment or transition does not interfere with the live business.
Can you move the website to WordPress?
We can assess the current platform, content and required features, then scope an appropriate move. Some content can be transferred while other parts need rebuilding. The proposal identifies the work, any limitations and the responsibilities for supplying or approving materials.
What should I send for an initial review?
Your website address, the main issues you notice and the result you want are enough to start. It also helps to know whether the business, branding or services have changed. We then clarify access, content and technical requirements before preparing a proposal.
